Self Development Meditation
We all have an energetic
field known classically as an 'aura' or in modern science as a 'bio-field'. This energy is the cause of our physical bodies and sustains
our life. The Aura interfaces with, and is continuous with, a number of energy centres within our bodies, which are often called 'Chakras'
a word that means "wheel". Just as the aura has different vibrations that are psychically percieved as having different colours so too these
wheels each have different colour vibrations or temperatures. Each energy centre contributes to our physical personality and make-up and has
a job to do. For example the typically "red" lower or base chakra is concerned with 'Physical survival' whereas the "blue" throat chakra is
concerned with communication and also lower psychic ability such as clairvoyance. Self developmental/exploration meditations such as those
listed below allow a person to explore and develop their awareness in, and use of, these energies and centres becoming more in tune and balanced.
Collectively these energies and centres form our sense of self identity.
Breath Meditation
Very specific and easy to use forms of breathing meditation allow us to balance
the physical body and energy centres, leading to a calmer mind and healthier body.
People who regularly use these techniques have experienced better sleep, a stronger immune system
and even faster healing after injury or illness.
Mantra Meditation
A Mantra is a series of one syllabul sounds that have no meaning but which
resonate specifically within your aura, energy centres and awareness, helping you
to become more aware of, and experience, specific vibrations and to strengthen your
awareness within your subtle bodies.
The people I teach, very quickly notice very definate effects of using mantras.
What is a Mantra?
Mantras have been used for thousands of years and there are some classic mantras like the "Om" which still
have a pleasant, if limited effect. There are also a lot of historical mantras which are either based on repeating the names
of eastern Deities, or sanskrit letters. While all sounds have a vibration, and as such, will have some effect, these mantras
demonstrate little benefit. Repeating a name or word, no matter how old its origin, does little. These mantras would be like
a thirsty man repeating the word 'water', while it may remind him of what he needs, it does little to quench the thirst.
Mantra's are repeated internally with clarity and emphasis, using your mental energy
(as you repeat them with your mind) and as such they are excellent for working on the
lower vibrations within your awareness. Because a mantra is said with the mind then it can't
help you to transcend the mind, in the same way you can't lift yourself off the ground by pulling
on your shoe laces.
Special advanced mantras are used to balance a person's energy, which makes it easier for them to meditate
on the faster and softer vibrations of Pure Energy Meditation.
Crystal Meditation
The etheric body (psychically seen as a black and white checker board) is the energy 'blue print' for our physical body.
Everything has a vibration and minerals are no exception. Minerals in our body, through resonant vibration, allow our physical body
to interact and interface with our etheric body. Crystals contain minerals in pure and concentrated amounts and also have qualities of colour
vibration and geometric form. By placing a crystal on or near our body we bring it's vibration into the awareness of our etheric and physical bodies
allowing it to create resonance with correspnding geometries and colours in our own energy field.
In this way crystals are used for healing the body and "opening awareness" and with guidance can be enjoyable and
rewarding to explore. Crystals have a strong effect on the body and are definately not toys.
As people meditate and become more intuitive and sensitive to subtle energy they find they can work with crystals
intuitively - without the need for books or guidance. This is especially true once a person has started meditating on pure energy as their
awareness is greatly enhanced.

Kundalini Meditation
Kundalini or "serpent energy" is shown in the diagram as the two strands of energy forming a coil that travels from the red base
chakra to the "crown" chakra. These two energies are opposites in quality one being "yin" and the other "yang" so that when they cross
they form a neutral point (chakra). These energies naturally move around the body helping to maintain balance and proper function
of the vital organs. They also help regulate our body temperature. Kundalini energy is the sum distilate of the energy we draw into our bodies
from breathing and food & drink. When we orgasm this Kundalini energy (which is sexual in nature) rises from the base chakra
and flows up through some or all the chakras balancing each one - a very nice experience indeed!.
By using very specific breathing, mantra and receiving an energy attunement from an experienced Pure Energy Meditator we
can learn to control and raise our kundalini, which, because of its balancing and harmonising effects is extremely beneficial.
Because kundalini energy works within the geometries and vibrations of our energy bodies it is not spiritual, as true spirituality
starts beyond the crown chakra. Kundalini meditation is often used to prepare for advanced Pure Energy Meditation.
