John - Teaching in Hertfordshire, St Albans

I've always had a fascination for the mysterious, the unseen and magical side of life. No doubt this was stimulated through a number of dream-state and out-of-the-body experiences when I was younger where I discovered that life wasn't only skin deep - but went a whole lot further if I wanted to explore it. So when I started at University and came across this particular form of meditation many things started to click into place, life started to make more sense and the possibility of getting real answers for myself - not through gathering other peoples ideas and beliefs - but real answers that I could discover, well this was an opportunity I couldn't miss. So I didn't miss the boat and I've been 'sailing' it ever since then, to and through greater 'oceans', discovering new 'lands' and living incredible adventures in a life that is so rich I couldn't even have dreamt of this when I was just a young lad. The amazing thing though is that I'm not really any different from anyone else and so what I've discovered can also be found by anyone else, given the right guidance and support.

John's Background

After successfully completing a Physics degree at Sussex University John started work in the Defence sector with Marconi, learning a range of antenna design and analysis skills. He then moved to the Netherlands for a number of years to work in the Technology Centre for the European Space Agency where he broadened his expertise to include the design, analysis and testing of high power microwave devices in space. This led on to carrying out several years of research into a specialised area of signal interference in the University of Kent at Canterbury. Changing circumstances then brought the opportunity for John to work in the Telecommunications industry for several years before moving back into the space business, where he has been able to bring his range of work experiences together in an international company providing specialised services to the global satellite industry.

In my line of work I use a lot of my physics background, in the design of specialised components for satellites, to their realisation and production & test. Science is fascinating and helps to 'explain' a lot of what we experience but it falls very short of being able to resolve many of the more fundamental questions close to our hearts. This is where this particular form of meditation has provided a genuine compliment to my science background – those niggling questions about life have now been well and truly resolved – what is my life for?, where am I going?, am I really just a little human in an enormous universe? Imagine the satisfaction and relief to know that these questions (and more) have been resolved?

So with all this 'behind' me that's why I am supporting people of a like mind, people who genuinely want to delve into the mystery of life to answer their 'unanswerable' questions. I work together with my wife, Catherina, in giving workshops covering all aspects of the meditation and we host regular drop-in meetings in Hertfordshire for anyone who wants to know more of what is on offer. I offer personal support and guidance to anyone who wants to take this meditation further and this is based on my own past 30 years of experience and insights on my journey.
